ReflectionA Poem by EgolessI
was beautiful when you found me, Strong, thin, with darkened skin and flowing hair. You lingered too long in my realm of fantasy, I fell in love without consent. It
happened when I saw your thoughts, Streaming
across the darkened water. It
happened when you kissed me slow, And stripped
me down to bare bones. You were stubborn when I found you, An awkward mess of controlling attempts. I worked my way into your thoughts, Your intrigue was my thrill. It happened when I found your dreams, Pieced together with elaborate plans. It happened when we inhaled smoke, I found securities in all my downfalls. I was beautiful when you found me, Now a disaster of mangled emotions, No longer concerned with being exposed, With everything to lose. Would you believe me if I told you? © 2012 Egoless |
