To Hold Your Place

To Hold Your Place

A Poem by Egoless

I am temporary.
A bookmark in your memoir
Moved from page to page
Easily overshadowed by the words
Within
I can hold your place
Suspend you in time
As you forget her face
Her touch
Her love
But in the moment
Your fingers grasp the pen
I am gone
Tossed aside
Until the next chapter ends

Awww. I loved it. And it's so sad. It's like being replaced.. by someone else as you try to be there for that person. Nice work! =)
