A Poem by Egoless

Sensations,

Are all I’ve ever needed.

Breathing on my own

No cares to burden me

Only pleasures

From the thrills

I get from new skin.

Nervous,

I haven’t done this in a while

Let my guard down

Low enough to see

The person inside the body.

I didn’t care

For months I’ve been avoiding truths

But now there’s you.

Curious.

I was happy

Living in ignorance

Caring not for love

Or wanting to explore

A world that wasn’t mine.

Vulnerable.

A feeling locked away

In a box without a key

But you’ve somehow broken it

Set that part of me free.

Still I’ll try

To hide it.

No use in taking chances.

Disappointment

Never fails.

I love you everything is in italics except for a few selected words.
And what brilliantly selected words they are!
It really puts emphasis and creates a kind of mood.

I loved reading your poem-- I think I might read another, actually. ^^
It's a great write, I assure you.
