Blind Devotion

Blind Devotion

A Poem by Egoless

I'd walk into flames
be consumed by the fire
disolve into ash
nourish the soil
in the pit behind your house
until new life bloomed
let you tear me from the earth
bring me inside
lay me in a vase
to stare at for pleasure
and toss me aside
once I began to wilt
you could say your goodbyes
or press me between books
trap me in paper
to display in the window
until you found something new
if you asked me to
