A Poem by Egoless

Images,

That fill my head,

Flash before my sunken eyes.

Preach to me

All of my faults,

Unfit for perfection

They define.

My body too awkward,

My mouth too thin,

Nose too long,

And hands too large,

Complexion compromised,

Freckled with scars.

Such narrow hips,

And sagging breasts,

Bones are lost,

In heaps of fat.

Body hair,

Too dark

Against my puke green skin.

Reject the body,

I’m stuck within.
