Woman

Woman

A Poem by eglantine

I am laced with broken

wires that spark

just beneath my skin--they

burn little black stars

amidst my charred freckles

and my speech

is electrical smoke:

         for I am both woman

         and dragon.

My heart screams with high

voltage, pumping electrons

through my lightning-scribed body.

I pulse for you, through

each mundane maestrom of a

minute--you, who shocked

me with the current of life.

and now, I am

charged with luminescence.

Great sound and, I think it's useless to point out how amazing your metrica is, at some points it was extremely visual, it def gave that "something-more" to every word.
Great job :)

thanks :)
All women have power from God that makes them stronger, more beautiful, more fierce and more passionate than any man on the planet. That's a very literal truth, and this poem describes that really well. You are "charged with luminescence". When a man sees the woman that he truly loves and burns for, that electric charge happens to him--24/7. This poem is beautiful. :)

Thank you bunches--I'm glad you enjoyed it
Luscious lyrics and HD imagery make this piece incredibly sensual--and more.
"Woman" strikes me as being profoundly romantic; it hardly seems possible this sort of seismic reaction only began in the physical; only impacts the physical.
In any event, "Woman" is an exceptional poem, written by someone who knows how to write--perhaps, even, how to live.
