Transformation into adulthoodA Poem by eglantineMy skin is glossifying to the same shade of sheen in my Vogue magazine. It could be from all of the honey I've been rubbing down my esophogus or from these brutal office lights polishing and polishing me imperfectionless.
It takes years to cultivate a pearl, squeeze a diamond from the coal.
I require a dress of time spun from pressed flowers, suspended dust and sepia moments to unfold my lips and declare my name.
