Birthday epiphanyA Poem by eglantineI lost my words the night I turned twenty-two. They were cupped in my hands and I blew on them--they scattered like feathers and the candles screamed.
I've searched the house three times but they remain lost. They weren't that solid to begin with--I should've known if given the chance they'd float away from my pages.
The world is far more interesting than paper and my hands are full of blank. © 2012 eglantineReviews
