Birthday epiphany

Birthday epiphany

A Poem by eglantine

I lost my words the night

I turned twenty-two.

They were cupped in my hands

and I blew on them--they scattered

like feathers and the candles

screamed.

I've searched the house three

times but they remain lost.

They weren't that solid to begin

with--I should've known

if given the chance they'd float

away from my pages.

The world is far more interesting

than paper and my hands

are full of blank.

That's a great poem about words, their personification makes everything original and open the path to many metaphors for the ones who look for them :)
Great job !

You have a great gift for words, and you use them so perfectly. Your hands may be "full of blank", but this prose is not. Wonderful.

I would have to disagree, not blank. I would like to see you develop this more. I think there is more here from what I read. Call it a hunch. What you have here is great.
