Vague Attempt

Vague Attempt

A Poem by eglantine

Honesty is more than a tumble

of churchgoers eager for a crumb

of confession and it is more

than a handshake in a

dark corner.  It is not

quite the color white nor

is it close to the sharp scent

of amonia.  Honesty is in

this poem but this poem is not

honest like the wide-eye moon.

In simpliest definition, honesty

is only seven letters strung

together, and anyone can

write it.

I took a somewhat vague word/topic, honesty, and tried my best to portray it.

You did well. I try to convey "Honesty" in everything I write, as well. Love it.

I love the topic of honesty and it's descriptions far from impurity or negativity. You simplified it. Nice!

honesty is a gifted woman, dragging her shadow around in a circle, analyzing with dazzling scrupulousity the mysteries of the circle, enlarging the individual so that what she has experienced is both what we have experienced and what we need not experience, near-perfect.
