January

A Poem by eglantine

A blue moon is in the dark place

in-between lighting fires and

seperating from the day.

Moonlight is not sheer tonight,
rather, it evaporates

before clearing rooftops.

This night, the first of 2012,

is a sheet and it makes breathing

difficult.

Before rising out of our skin,

our blood is lunar blue,

beautiful and clear of oxygen.

this poem shares an electron with Tolstoy and Escher, and that's no small feat

Your analogies are unique and just obscure enough to challenge the imagination into unexplored dimensions. Few writers can accomplish this well enough to hurdle the obstacle of loss of interest. I find my own writing leaning away from this type of complexity as I tend to interlace other subtle aspects. Your style is intellectual and refined.

"tongiht"?

This one read very well - aloud...
and had the aftertaste of heart.
