I hate this rustic church
and the wedding that's about to take place and I hate these God-fearing people and the woman in a gaudy floral blouse. I hate that he stole this from me, dropped me like a burning cross. I hate this wooden bench and each floor-board and every one of his damn freckles. Broken hearts are so cliche and I hate to mention them, but here is mine: blue-glazed and star-cracked, damp and thorned. © 2013 eglantineReviews
