Who Am I?

Who Am I?

A Poem by egg13

I lost my wallet,
I lost myself
I lost my friends and I lost my joy

I lost my wallet,
I lost my smile
I lost my education and I lost my home

I lost my wallet
I lost my family
I lost my wife and I lost my sons

I lost my wallet
I lost my attitude
I lost my confidence and I lost my job

I lost my wallet
I lost my place
I lost my heaven and I lost the reason

I lost my wallet
I lost my talent
I lost my body and I lost my future

I lost my wallet,
I lost my love
I lost appreciation and I lost my taste

I lost my wallet
I lost my ideas
I lost my inspiration and I lost my motivation

I lost my wallet
I lost my personality
I lost courage and I lost my bravery

I found my wallet
I lost my soul

This is a cool poem. I like it when people write about ideas. And to me this seems like a poem about any idea. How can a person read this and not think about how mug they identify by the contents of their wallets, and how that loss puts into perspective how little we value our personalities, character, friendships, etc. good cool poem
