Strawberry Jam

Strawberry Jam

A Poem by egg13

The little girl watches as her grandmother boils the jam
"I have a duty for you" she calls the girl
"Fill the jars with this jam, I will be back"
The little girl tries her best
Ends up spilling the jam
"It's ok" whispers the Grandmother
She is back,
With a kasette player
She puts a kasette in
"This is your present" she whispers to the girl
"I made a kasette for you"
"Take it home and I will read you a story every night"
The kasette begins to play:

"Once upon a time,
in a worldwith the greenest of fields
 and the bluest of skies,
lived a prince.
The bravest of all, a fighter he was,
with his steel armour and the whitest of horses.
All he's missing was his princess.
Who knows, perhaps it is you."

I felt like the story needed to be fleshed out a little more, also this didnt really feel like a piece of poetry.
