A Kiss For Peace

A short, gentle and heartfelt poem envisioning a world where love heals, unity grows, and peace is restored perfectly capturing the hope for a better tomorrow.

My hope for our world and the people who walk it is
That the earth heals from all its scars
Souls find calmness beneath the stars
The place where wounds fade with each gentle kiss
And unity restores the peace we once knew but now miss

it's a beautiful prayer. one tat i shall sing as well. this year, so much is happening around the world. closer to home, my life here is also in a state of crisis. but that time will heal everything, that hope is what keeps me going. i search for 'The place where wounds fade with each gentle kiss'. i will find it, one day.

I really like the saying "kiss people's wounds". Seeing where someone is hurting and doing the most innocent thing you can do... It should definitely be like this for the world. I think The Beatles were right, all you need is love. I think all the evil in the world is caused by people/children who were not loved enough. I think real and true love would save us all. We will kiss our wounds, I believe that.

You wrote it very well, it is extremely sweet, extremely sincere and extremely hopeful. I really love the hope and love of young people. I think the awareness of Generation Z is very high and that's why I am proud of all of us.

Please continue writing, these will make a difference. I loved your writings!

Such a peaceful and hopeful message that shows unity and hope! I seriously like the line "That the Earth heals from all its scars". I definetly miss the times in nursery and before that. It was really calm, could do anything. Now, my entire class bullies and runs out of the corridor sometimes. Although I am not one of them and not being bullied, This brings nostolgia in the last line. Let's hope in our world scars, acne, rashes etc don't matter, and everyone is equal and every kind is kind. Great work!

Thank you for your lovely and kind words Martiya! When we were all younger everything was peaceful and nothing was too serious but as we grow unfortunately things do tend to become harder. I am glad your classmates don't bully you, bullying is a serious issue sadly. I appreciate your review and you sharing these experiences! I hope your class realizes as soon as possible that bullying is bad and I hope they stop!

Yes, I really hope my class stops. Once, somebody just took a badminton racket, not knowing it's mine. At first, I thought "Oh, it's fine, I have another". But he started hitting other kids with it. Yeah, this IS a tough problem.

I reported to the teacher. I don't know where the principal's office is. Hardly any child knows. So I did to her. She scolded him, but he still fights and runs around the class no matter what. So, I have to adapt to these things.

Some lovely sentiments, for an idealistic and tranquil world of peace; where love trumps all.

Sadly, so much easier said than done; to actually achieve on a global scale.

Even when one part of the world, finally seems to be at a state of loving peace, worldly problems often emerge; and start casting a dark shadow of despair.
