The World was still, Like before the coming of profound abstraction, when all seemed lost, Everything merging into darkness, The words eluding even the most scintillating talks, There came light, Guiding in the dark, Freeing the words from shackles of dread, There was she, Waiting to be claimed as 'The One', There was yet work to be done, Another silent war of hearts to be won, Yet, there was my light, Guiding, Inspiring, Perspicacious of my imminent victory, Waiting to be claimed as 'The One
This is truly spectacular... I want to quote each line as the most inspirational, the most beautifully worded, I simply can not choose a favorite. The image of a guiding light bringing forth a union of the spirit, heart and soul... so gorgeously scribed... but yes, there is that part that is calling to be highlighted..
"There was she,
Waiting to be claimed as 'The One',
There was yet work to be done,
Another silent war of hearts to be won,"
Amazing, the subtle rhyme and concept... brilliantly penned. I am in awe...

The Greek Comic playwright Aristophanes is purported to suggest in Platos' symposium that humans initially had spherical bodies with four arms, four legs and two faces on either sides and were extremely powerful beings. Such was their hubris that they dared to challenge the Gods themselves and Zeus split the rebels in two, each half becoming a distinct identity. Since then men and women have been running around searching for their lost counterpart in desire to be whole again. This is why people in love say they feel whole. Plato summarily dismissed the theory by having Socrates reject it. The theory might not hold value literally but philosophically the theory is an eulogy to love. That too a beautiful one.

A theory in itself I am more prone to dismiss after a while of searching :) I have become to think that one should always enter a love affair as a whole and complimenting each other rather than completing them...again just my thoughts.

Absolutely, your views hold true to the argument. Yet, what is it if not completing each other when you complement each other. No two people can have all the qualities and the right person complements you with those qualities which we may lack and vice versa thus creating a perfect balance. My view would be that complimenting and completing each other goes hand in hand, like Yin and Yang. :)

"Freeing the words from shackles of dread" -- catharsis, indeed. The poem has the sighs and longings in between the lines, how gorgeously you have versed. You do have lovely ink - let it not dry ! Cheers
