ShatteredA Poem by W. C. Forrest
It was a vision, a vision ahead,
To a blissful world devoid of dread, But the draconian rules of life too exist, Insinuation in seducing spaces somehow missed,Overwhelming elation from such utopia enticing, Abrupt rupturing of dreams even more vexing, Black hearted ravages twisting mind towards murky grounds, Reality starts to obscure as sanity slowly drowns,Desires die substituted by vehemence of his loneliness, More apprehension awaits in unusual stillness, The suffering so strong beyond endurance, Devoid of soothing words or encouragement,The vision finally shattered into million pieces, How do we all survive in such terrible places?
