and juneA Poem by eena
I'm a slacker-
take up August half-way through and tell myself it's just that I'm busy; but it's just that I'm feigning sleep for a few more minutes, I'm closing my eyes to the blinds that get a little more off-white the closer to noon it gets. lick my lips and taste the sugar left over, turn over on my stomach and tell myself september soon, and february and june. © 2010 eena |
