Whisper To Me

Whisper To Me

A Poem by eelyah

Sometimes I wish the pain would ease,
Melt away,
Like a candle sheltered from the breeze.
Sometimes I swear I hear you whispering to me.
Forget that songs sweet melody.

Your input means the world.
The skies seem to have a grey swirl.
I'd like to meet myself someday,
We could dance around in the rain.
The rain it pours so calmly,
Yet it is angry.

I hear a roar in the distance,
Thunder. Then it struck.
Lightening hit me,
Now look - I'm all fucked up.
The faces I see,
They're so familiar to me.

Sometimes I wish the pain would ease,
Melt away,
Like a candle sheltered from the breeze.
I could have sworn I heard you whispering to me.
But I looked up in the mirror,
All i saw was me.
