Disability is Capability

Disability is Capability

A Poem by Edward Lancheister
"

to my brother and sister that have disability, now is the time to raise your power

"

The blind couldn’t see the beauty of nature

Through Braille they could write imagery from perceived

Paralytic couldn’t able to be the fastest runner

By capability to design legs so they could run as fast  ever

The deaf couldn’t hear the most beautiful sounds

Beethoven in his deafness could compose the greatest legendary songs

Speech impaired couldn’t speak what’s on their mind

Hellen Keller with her disability could write a famous book ever find

Convey much stronger than any words could speech

Nick Vujicic doesn’t have a hand to hold nor leg to walk

“No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!”

Famous of his quotation ever spoken

He could write and swimming

Capability isn’t always a gift but a process of learning

Disability just a common thing from imperfect nature

Disabled have more ability like provision of the Creator

To do something much more bigger beyond imagined

Limitless, freedom to act without barriers

An essence for biggest capability not a curse

Their achievement sparks so bright like a string of pearls

evidence of impossibility

Opportunity to make it more than possible

Disability bring greatest capability

Your poems always are thought provoking.. i liked the theme a lot... they are not disabled but - differently abled. The determination they show is to be commended. The instances of great men and women you have given thus proves your mind- strength of character is what counts. I tip my hat to all those people who don't succumb due to physical disabilities but fight it off with great alarcity... :)

blessing and let the spirit of God lead you more in his knowledge to reveal of what you looking for
I like this message, it can be easy to get discouraged with a disability, I know because I have a disability but watching others accomplish much through their disability can encourage others to try their best and not give up. I love listening to Nick Vujicic and I enjoy reading Hellen Keller's quotes, they both can be inspiring.

Great Job
