Disability is CapabilityA Poem by Edward Lancheisterto my brother and sister that have disability, now is the time to raise your powerThe blind couldn’t see the beauty of nature Through Braille they could write imagery from perceived Paralytic couldn’t able to be the fastest runner By capability to design legs so they could run as fast ever The deaf couldn’t hear the most beautiful sounds Beethoven in his deafness could compose the greatest legendary songs Speech impaired couldn’t speak what’s on their mind Hellen Keller with her disability could write a famous book ever find Convey much stronger than any words could speech Nick Vujicic doesn’t have a hand to hold nor leg to walk “No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!” Famous of his quotation ever spoken He could write and swimming Capability isn’t always a gift but a process of learning Disability just a common thing from imperfect nature Disabled have more ability like provision of the Creator To do something much more bigger beyond imagined Limitless, freedom to act without barriers An essence for biggest capability not a curse Their achievement sparks so bright like a string of pearls evidence of impossibility Opportunity to make it more than possible Disability bring greatest capability
