Strangers

Strangers

A Poem by Rain Bo
"

Inspired by Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless mind. If you've seen it, you'll get it.

"

Numbers erased, names forgotten,

Faces blurring, voices slurring--

Familiarity between strangers--

Do I know you?

Have we met?

Her hair is bright red

Canary yellow

Forrest green.

Her smile lights up the train car

Bookstore

Bedroom.

I know that face.

And she knows mine.

We get dinner

Coffee

Lunch.

Numbers erased, names forgotten.

Faces blurring, voices slurring--

Familiarity between strangers--

Do I know you?

I love that movie......great lesson to us all.....even though losing a love is painful,,,those are still valuable memories that make us human,,,,of course we would like to avoid pain, but if try to do that, as in the movie,,, we just cut ourselves off from finding another love again...... great piece
