Meditation First

Meditation First

A Poem by papaed
"

Peace and Love must start within ourselves, then move out to the world to be properly motivated.

"

reach inside with meditation

an early morning preparation

to greet the world with love and peace

so that a smile my face will crease

reach inside with meditation

for those who feel a separation

the homeless need someone on their side

to help them build inward pride

reach inside with meditation

for those who face their own creation

with bodies fighting illness

send them waves of healing wellness

reach inside with meditation

for those who sit in contemplation

of their bodies age-worn demands

offer comfort and hold their hands

reach inside with meditation

for those suffering incarceration

bless their lives although a mess

help them to learn forgiveness

reach inside with meditation

for those who spew denigration

who create wars and conflagration

offer them peace, love, and revelation

meditation first, motivation second

I believe in meditation. Been doing it for 25 years. Best to think first then react. A poem with great wisdom.

Dear papaed,

Very nicely penned. An important message, well presented. Indeed, "Peace and Love must start within ourselves". Wise words from one that has seen war and death. Much respect.

Beautifully done. Each word flowed into the next.

well stated. There is great benefit in getting the brain to SHUT UP and just BE for a moment. I love the meter and the mechanics of this one. Very structured. Nicely done.

Fantastic Papa. The man who practices meditation successfully can be content with much less than the man who doesn't How much richer a world this would be if only we could master this technique.
