Bye Bye

Bye Bye

A Poem by papaed
"

waving through a double etheree

"

tiny

little hand

held up, palm out

fat fingers wiggle

smiling mouth, confused eyes.

questioning what happens now

waving symbol of pain and loss.

experienced skin with palm faced down

flips up in dismissal, ‘go, don’t delay.’

long fingers undulate, limp wrist wagging

will she be alright while I am gone?

“bye bye baby.  I’ll be back soon.”

walking hurriedly away

hand wags over shoulder.

with finality

hand out window

mommy yells

“bye, bye

love.”

About
no erudite pontifications, no complex extrapolations no intentional hurtful lies, just simple age-wise aliteration and prose, of a man who's in the throes of living day to day from his head down to.. more..
