The Rose Girl

The Rose Girl

A Poem by papaed
"

the essence of beauty - a picture interpretation challenge response

"

blessed hungry hormonal need

gentle perfect curves, soft open petals

driven by survival of the race, of the genus

the peak of reproductive desire and beauty

ringed with promise of commitment to one

an innocent trust in promise given

ringed with protective thorns

hidden and exposed seeds of procreation

softly aromatic plush moment shared

symbol of the peak of perfection

visible declaration of permeating beauty

embracing status of chosen, intended path

covered in suede, ensconced in perfume

emotions guiding hope, trusting fate

immersed in dreams, feelings, plans

narrow focus, blinders on

hold on to the moment

live fully, commit,
dream, risk, forgive,

risk again

celebrate youth and innocence

beauty, passion, and softness

for like the blooming rose

it is short-lived and vulnerable

its been months since I've had the opportunity to read your work. This one is sensuous, beautiful - gentle. Bravo. Exquisite writing.

Lovely, visuals were right on the money. Only a few SPAG issues, but then I am OCD when it comes to SPAG.
