The Poetry PailA Poem by papaedanswer to the question... why do I rhyme?
deep inside I have a pail filled with loose words and tight phrases, with chaotic thoughts, frivolous fantasies, and disorganized dreams
there I collect all words large and small humble and grandiose meaningful and meaningless rarely-used and overly-used passive and angst-filled
a mysterious marvelous processing machine reaches into this bulging resource pail continuously arranging, rearranging, selecting, and discarding it is searching for order, meaning, beauty, and hope
rhythm and rhyming are the tools yet it makes no noise as it works associations that often seem random and may appear hopelessly complex pull together and form thoughts of otherwise stark simplicity © 2008 papaedReviews
