Let Nature Have Her Way

Let Nature Have Her Way

A Poem by papaed
"

A rant about natural changes taking place.

"

ALL HAIL the

mighty macrocosmic

mankind-borne

amino acid-triggered zipper.

the gregarious mysterious

geometric gene structure.

the product of

intelligence directed

random dispersed

unnatural and natural selection

survival of the necessary

card-shuffling DNA/RNA reticulation

using microcosmic, microscopic

chemical powered

organic computers

of unfathomable

science-defying complexity and power

bearing unpredictable

imprecise protection power

for the dominant earth biped.

ALL YIELD to

conscious and unconscious

sexual propagation hunger.

survival driven traits

called beautiful, sexy

 as recognition

of healthy, comfortable, reproductive

breasts, pelvis, butt cheeks.

muscles and fat in the right places.

rich skin and resistance to disease.

GUIDED by

instinctive morality

species procreation

supportive rules

killing snaps the chain

hating breaks the mind

lying bends reality

cheating stops trust

stealing shakes the spirit

ALL BUILD

human awareness of

swollen population pressure

as it triggers

nature natural necessary

rapid directed deliberate drift

in the genetic arrangement

I SUBMIT

that we embrace,

at least accept,

non replicating

behaviors and conditions

as resulting from

natural selection of

DNA computer solutions

to unsustainable population pressure

as random rapid, direct deliberate drift

in the genetic macrocosmic

computer’s arrangements

which yield with increasing frequency

gay - unisex- crippled-handicapped

and extreme acts of violence

and self destruction.

rapidly raising acceptable levels

of self-effacing, self emulation,

obesity, eating disorders,

learning disabilities, autism

and mass death by disease

LET US Acknowledge

an overpopulated planet-wide ecosystem

slowly destroyed, consumed by

a powerful biped pestilence

converting necessary natural resources

into unnecessary unnatural toys

they burying them

back into the earth

an indestructible cancer

a bleeding planetary crises

LET US consider

the link between

an increasing planetary crises

violent storms, non violent droughts

and

increasing numbers of

non-reproductive behaviors

all working smoothly together

to solve

a sensed pending crises

BRING ON

the next generation

of problem solvers!

BRING ON the

less conventional!

the less inhibited!

the taller, the stronger, the smarter!

Accept radical change.

Out with the old,

in with the new.

Let nature have her way with us.

Wow...that's huge...
Excellent use of words, in some cases though, some of them are a bit overkill, but that could just be me, personally. The different lengths of the stanzas are creative, to an extent...and...there's not much more I can critisize on this piece.
I hope to see more, keep up the good work.

I went to edit and re-entered the text without extraneous commands to see if it would not duplicate. Now it will not take text at all. Please bear with me. I'm reposting with slightly different name. Maybe it will take this text from a new entry.

The last phrase is the perfect end to this piece. I laughed at the metaphors and descriptors used and the repeating intellectual percepts here. More like a thought Poem and deeply writ too. Intellect vs. Nature .... hmmm Nature is where I put my trust ... these kind of ruminations are necessary and do show the extraordinary mind using Occam's Razor behind them ... I liked it Papaed

There's a choice here? Let Nature take Her course? Apart from being a little presumptive liebchen This is excellent observation.

well my cows. I am "pimping" this one.
Seriously - I've always been fascinated by intelligent design and this one speaks of that, the machinations of the brain, DNA, the body - all the things we try to bypass....and if we just left somethings alone - we would be better off.
It really resonated the way you described the downward spiral we are in...what we see - what we determine - where we are headed - violence and overpopulation...
Yes this thing is a masterpiece - (of course I also love the sound of the words...the alliteration, the cadence - it is ferocious in places...as though you are driving each word into the paper with a hammer)
