In Line

In Line

A Poem by papaed
"

inspired by boring line waiting.

"

morality based

ethics laced

society containment

human arrangement

be fair or beware

break the rule

witness the cruel

looks with hate

so don’t be late

don’t cross the line

don’t push in line

don’t cut in line

in line with cart

in line with bags

in line for work

in line for bathroom

in line for tickets

in line for communion

in line with car

stay in the lane

block right-side passing

get in line

merge in line

keep life in line

arrive on time

read in line

dance in line

wait in line and

occupy your mind

and then there’s me .....

waiting and writing in line

I'm tellin ya! We got lines goin' everywhere. Hurry up and wait. This is a perfect analysis on life, constantly being in line with something or for something. Perfect!

Great staccato rhythm with the short lines here...we are often in line, are we not...either that or on the line (telephones). Good stream of consciousness write. Lydia

wow...linear thought, linear moods, linear life and how much time do we waste, waiting....I lovethe effect the short words have as they flow down the page. This would be a great spoken word piece. Well done
