at sea

at sea

A Poem by Ed Hart

at sea

i've not seen shore since

i'm out too far by far

taking thought while lacking sense

i'm mixed up with the stars

away around about

the foreign night has found me out

more than miles of where

have filled my wayward mind

distances and reason's care

separate me from my kind

word wind wail

the foreign night's a ship

                                    full sail

A ship full sail.......I don't know if this is a new or a older piece...wherever it came from it was full of beautiful melancholy.

'Sea sings us all a lullaby then waits the tide to bring us home; soft wind and kind, your wayward mind to see so far, so far..'

Your words lay quietly, whispering to those who need to hear, Sir Hart. Tis only reality that roars it wailing wind. Your words are sadly beautiful.. star-mixed and moon crazy..
