old man death

old man death

A Poem by Ed Hart
"

even my archives aren't safe from a little tweak and polish

"
old man death
diggin' my grave
he say, 'give us a hand,
you ain't doin' nothin'

i say,
'you think there's time
for one more dance'

he shake his head
'you 'bout danced out,
an' who gonna be dancin' wich you,
grab that shovel'

i say,
'how 'bout i lay down dancin'

That would be the Tarantella you'd be dancing Edward.

Love that as far you're concerned, old man death might as well shrug his shoulders in resignation and do his own shoveling.

Beccy.
