the letting

the letting

A Poem by Ed Hart

         of blood
rapid
         fall
               flood
cause
god of
and profit
              oh

skill at steel
upmanships
color of skin
revelation of rape

oracle and orator
the ever and in turn
attainment of death

Steep price for mankind to pay but I suppose peace isn't enough to keep the economy going.

we can rant about soldiers and politicians, but where would we be without them, literally? Probably still plopping about in the primordial swamp. Happy days.

There is profit in war. That statement is something my mind could not grasp when first I heard it. Would our leaders really sacrifice others in order to attain it? Is it really that powerful? I've learned that when the orators wrap it in lies it certainly can be.

It is a sad state of affairs we live in.

Loud bangs the drum of Man's future... until the skin splits? Your words are few and yet so powerful, Sir Hart.. Our world is tumbling out of space as our caution and care lose their right paths. You write about tragedy in such a skeletal manner but the man who cares shows amazing strength.
