up words

A Poem by Ed Hart
"

while i wait to see if my old muse will circle round again, i continue to pose these older poses, which won't hurt you, unless you're allergic to being allergic

"

there's a song

under any heap

of syllables

                      sleeping

i like lines taut

cattle barbs corn

weighing raindrops

is my wet work

up words

                  unite

you on the end

                              couple-up

i am pleased that you were entertained
Very interesting pile of syllables . . . I especially love the part where there's a song underneath (so creative & true to life!) Even tho you say you like your lines taut, these look a little looser than the way I'm used to reading "taut" . . . and "cattle barbs corn" feels like a shorthand glimpse into word uniformity . . . all in all, an original description of word play.

a cozy declaration your own self...thank y ou
-- your words are infinitely poetic and infinitely puzzling, Maestro Ed... -- for me, reading a poem is an experience similar to watching a short feature film... made by someone who is supremely skilled in wielding words... and finding something poetic in my own thoughts is like discovering a new orbit in a new space...
