i think my spelling error of "parish" for "perish" led many of my reviewers to think these few word had a different, and perhaps a more significant 'meaning' than it does. apologies...

I love how you've personified love here - in a way that gives it the agency to exist because it so desires. That in the glorious symbiotic relationship humans have with love, it brings meaning to our lives. I've heard love described as a free flowing energy that comes and goes as it pleases, and I like that. This piece suggests babies wanting to be born or trees wanting to sprout. And that we have a choice, to slap away the hand of love or take hold of it and grip it firmly with our hearts.

I had a friend ask me the other day, "tell me dana, how has poetry changed you"? She not only meant 'you'
in that plural, grammatical relationship, but 'you' in that universal, truthful postulancy. "Trust me, I said,
it just makes you better".
It is the great argument for the potential of existence; being both Darwinistically infinitive while being
governed by the sovereign. Nothing else on earth does that (at least nothing man-made) and nothing
else ever will. That's "what it is".
