grace

grace

A Poem by Ed Hart

                          yes
there is letting go

the while
my heart is ebullient
emergent

listen
rain becomes rivers
becomes oceans
becomes laughter and doing
painting walls
planting seeds
marshaling monuments
of tiny words

listen
a flask the fates had fastened
opened on a laggard's thirst
while my tenacious farm girl
kept the hungry graves at bay

stretching
stretching

Possibilities combined with energy can change the dynamics of what is. Suddenly oceans, a wide sky, and freedom become tangible, become lighter to hold, become happiness. I see metaphors and possible symbolism here that can only be written by you.

Always worth the read.
