Plastic Rose

Plastic Rose

A Poem by Ian Duncan Arbogast
"

From shining sea to sandy desert you all know what this poem means.

"

holding a plastic rose-

Might plastic rose.

As time goes by and withers the world you shall never die.

You represent true love.A love all shall find if they have faith and patience.

Mighty rose...I envy you

.-then holds a real rose-

Rose of love

Rose of light

Rose of warmth

Rose of might

Despite your beauty

you too shall die

At least you make your life worth living

-the rose's red petals turn to a distinct jet black-

Everything dies in this cruel world...except love.

Love conquers all
