The Shores Of Life.

The Shores Of Life.

A Poem by Eddy Jones
"

Romance in Rictameter.

"

Dreaming

Those days gone by

Each wave crashing cymbals

Pounding onto those shores of life

The great days of keen pirates and Shanties

Omen riding on the crests of waves

Thunder's rolling drumbeat

Echoing sounds

Dreaming.

x

Dreaming

Sea's in my blood

Fishing a simple life

Survival the name of the game

Muscles and winkles a-live a-live ho

Each net full's heaving abundance

Those dreams so true to life

Neptune's wonders

Dreaming.

x

Night time

A cloak so dark

An intrusive feeling

Pierces the canvas of darkness

Paths to follow to find inspiration

Glorious wonders never to fear

My heart will lead the way

Halos of gold

Night time.

x

Each dream

Stories bewitched

On the shores of true life

To sit in anticipation

Fantasising each tugging each glory

Today tomorrow thereafter

So precious and treasured

Wondrous belief

Each dream.

INTRODUCTION

Here is some vocabulary I enjoyed:

1. cymbals: musical instrument. I have never heard of this musical instrument before. Therefore, I am looking forward to listening to a video that exemplifies it.

2. Neptune's dreams: Beautiful and stunning! This phrase really set my mind into the surreal realm of spirals of the galaxy.

3. Intrusive feeling: This is an incredible depiction of the night time scene! Subjectively, I would imagine it to be filled with imaginary creatures hiding in the dark.

Each dream

"Stories bewitched

On the shores of true life"

Beautiful conclusion! I imagined a lighthouse in the distance calling to the dreamers of the sea!

CONCLUSION

It is difficult to be an idealist of dreams. Cynicism is the predominant force in society.

How do we overcome such hostility?

Great work!

Nice flow to this, I like your dreams.

Muscles and winkles a-live a-live ho
Each net full's heaving abundance

Now there's a real picture of a seafarer.

A tight and romantic shanty. This flowed like the sea it was born on.

Thank you Ken and enjoy your day.
Now I can read it! This is so calming to read. The wave structure and flow trips off my tongue wonderfully when read aloud. I smiled at the a-live a-live ho reference. Nicely done, Eddy!
