Searching for Hope

Searching for Hope

A Poem by endless_possibilities
"

A poem of anger, sadness, and honesty. Hope you like.

"

you see the beauty in my melanin but not the tear stains on my,

Dress, you see the funk in my jive but not the stamp on my,

Chest saying ‘second class’ what I wouldn’t give to feel free,

Free, they tell me that's a dream that will never be

See, why can’t you see,

we eat from the same table but were oceans away

You can put on my skin, but you will never know my pain,

And I bet you don’t even want to.
