The Snowsculpturists

The Snowsculpturists

A Poem by ed purchla
"

NA.

"
Misconstrued as a
"Miracle," the protestors
Who, having borne the
Winter van de Dood, 'neath the
Tyrannical rule
Of Der Letzte Ritter, did
Coordinate their
Creativity, setting
Themselves to sculpt ice
And snow, fashioned in vulgar,
Lewd, and scurrilous
Mockeries, Grotesques, in grim,
Hollow, effigy.

Though Max did not budge,
Through Louis they were lucky,
A thousand écus
Bestowed on the Bruxellois.

What might be learned
From this particularly
Odd tale?  Perhaps that
Creativity outshined
The typical, go-
To, employ of violence?
And conceivably,
Come the 19th century,
Bulwer-Lytton's play
Resounded the sentiment
Which Gandhi and King ran with.
