This Never Ending Headache

This Never Ending Headache

A Poem by Chaise Nicole
"

A poem I wrote a while back. More recent stuff will be posted soon when I have time to type stuff up :)

"
Three painkillers and black coffee don’t cure the headache,
Brought by the weights on your eyelids, from three straight nights of a restless mind.
The feeling from that night never left;
 I still fall asleep with a sense of panic collapsing my chest.
It never ends; the uncertainty if tomorrow you’ll be planning for the future,
Or questioning if you’ll ever make it that far.
But somehow; Even though we come up with bruised palms and scraped knees,
We never stop chasing forward;
Because human nature never understood how to accept defeat,
And maybe that’s what has kept me alive.
