What Happened?

What Happened?

A Poem by Copper
"

A man does an unspeakable act, but can't seem to remember exactly what it was.

"

What happened?

I can't seem to remember.

The flame of recollection

Snuffed out like an ember

And though I may try

To recall what I've done

No memories surface

Save for just one...

The ruby red liquid

That painted the walls

Held my attention

Despite the pained calls

My friends seem to know that

I've done something terrible

They keep their distance

I'm so alone it's unbearable

You see, there is something

I have yet to recall

I just hope for my sake

It won't lead to my fall

Author's Note

Copper
I wrote this quickly, and in my opinion it's the first poem I wrote where the rhymes don't seem forced. What do you think?
