IntroductionA Chapter by CopperThe Introduction.Hello there. This is Copper speaking. Well, since this is rather informal, I figure you can call me Erik. That is my real name after all. You may know me as the writer for Hotel Isabella. Wow, I sure do make it sounds like I am well know, don’t I? How I wish that were true. Where was I? Ramble, ramble…Ah! I remember now. I figured I was going to take a break from Hotel Isabella, and write something like a halfway auto biography. I am fifteen years old, and I think that is old enough to begin chronicling my life so far. I’ve had my share of ups and downs, and I might go as far as saying I have a pretty interesting life. I’m not saying that you will be like, “Oh my Jesus. This kid has the life story of a god. We must praise him.” No, because my life is far from immaculate. Also, if you guys came and started praising me for a book I made about my life, quite frankly, I would have to run. I mean, I’m can’t be that interesting…Can I? I sure hope not… I mean, fame and fortune is nice and all, but it comes at a price…God almighty! I need to quit going off on some random tangent! Next thing you know I’ll be debating whether or not the economy is going to collapse. If any fifteen year old brought that up to me, I would slowly step away. After all, I am not nearly educated enough to know that stuff. So! I suppose in this so called “Introduction” I will tell you a bit about myself. Well, ask a ye shall receive…something something…Forget it. Anyway, my name is Erik Copper. I am currently a freshman in High School, and boy is it ever difficult. I could say that for most of my classes, but in all honesty, the class I have the most trouble with is Freshman Seminar. That is just one hell of a bore. It doesn’t help that the teacher has certain “quirks.” Namely, he is old, gullible, and not very bright. How he stayed a teacher, I’ll never know. My life is basically normal, except for one thing. I am autistic. Now, just so you know, I am not autistic to the point where my abilities are impaired to the fullest extent, but I do have it. It’s mostly social ineptitude, and a learning disability. The latter doesn’t appear to be much of a problem at all as I know my stuff. I was diagnosed at age 5 with ADHD, which is not uncommon. Most people with my problem are like that. Then a Diagnosis of Autism comes later. I have what is called, “Asperger Syndrome.” It is a mild form of Autism, but like I said, it still is. Anyway, I will wrap this intro up. It would seem that I have nothing else to say right now, but I’ll get6 in depth a little later on. Keep an eye out. © 2010 CopperAuthor's Note
