migraine

migraine

A Poem by Lorraine Hampton

Migraine

Claws dig into my brain

Scorching as the tear me

The wounds are festering

And the maggots crawl

Lacing in and out of me

Each time stinging more

Like jolts of electricity

That surge trough my core

The slightest sound hurts

The faintest light burns

My thoughts are fogged

The pain veils everything

Darkness and silence

Like two godly blessings

Stay away from the world

And its light filled pleasure

Until the claws release at last

I never had migraine before (I'm thankful for that). This gave me idea what it feels like. Thanks for sharing!
