As light becomes life's serenadeA Poem by Echoes of ErosBring us life from the rustCome rise up from the dust Mother of earth Mother of stone Bring us life from the rust Our tree of life, so soft and warm You are the color of energy The life of a thousand wildflowers in spring And every moment your gardens flood my mind Though you have become but a ghost Burning black ribbons of candlelight Making me a cold fire tonight A poignant, profound song of embers Lifting in crescendos as flowered fireworks Burst from death’s seed sown in meadow’s wild All that remains is the colored glass Glass fragments that reflect the sunlight Illuminating cold stones with rainbow essence There in the stillness when my soul sleeps And dreams in darkness will finally fade As light becomes life's serenade
