I am a right-brained person that thinks more like a shotgun blast than the straight line fire of a rifle. I need sensory stimulation...textures, depth, sound, visual images. When I read a poem, I want to 'FEEL' it. I want it to seep through me, speaking its words on a level deeper than thought and processing allows. As a musician, I also love a poem that takes on a musical lilt and flow Your poem did that...all of that. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Vivid imagery painted by your words flowing like a mellifluous cascade through the veins as lips phrase out them. It's a breath-taking write which takes me to a dreamscape, where you are the Artist , the wordsmith of that world. Splendid! Thanks for sharing.

3-2-2-2-3, a songlike form.. several excellent allusions and image phrasing is very beautiful- particularly fire in chains. Some are a little more commonplace but work well.
Talisman in Van Gogh's flight is interesting. Would you please tell me what that means to you?
I also very much enjoyed your ue of assonance.

The "talisman in van Gogh’s flight, across the ancient stars of night" relates to one of my favorite paintings, The Starry Night, and the magic it holds, a magic that is related to in a Doctor Who episode: Vincent and the Doctor. It does amaze me that we gaze up at the stars as he did so long ago, and I can share them with my twin flame. xo

Yes, and you and you twin flame may have done before, so many times, under that same star.
Breathtaking poetry...The imagery, the rhyming...it's all so captivating. I like how you repeat the 'catchline'...It adds tons to the beauty of the poem. Appreciated so much...🌷
