In Indigo Imaginations

In Indigo Imaginations

A Poem by Echoes of Eros
"

How she was threaded with magical cords... xo

"

How she was threaded with magical cords

woven with illuminating tapestries of light

even her tears were cleansed in liquid life

Each sigh within has become a sacred prayer

through the earth of her awakens a divine echo

life rising from the dust, forever transformed

May she come to the misted madness of me

until my skin is earth and my soul is sky

and every breath becomes a winded fury

Would that I could become the sun and every shadow

so that I would be endlessly caressing her soft skin

Touching her to know the burning of a thousand stars

For in the ripples of her reflection one can see eternity

so sweetly she came into the cold, aching pieces of me

and in her warm fragrance I forgot what winter was

There forever I wish to lie in her indigo imaginations

as she perceived the world in her endless colors

and everything came alive on her living canvas.

True.. it can warm or it can burn. Thank you for your kindness. xo
My God, this is beautiful. Honestly and truly, this is gorgeous writing. The imagery and the descriptions are to die for in your poem. Whoever this poem is about is a lucky woman. You can practically feel the admiration exuding from this piece. Every line hits you like a ton of bricks, but each stanza blows you away. One stanza in particular, "Would that I could become the sun and every shadow/so that I would be endlessly caressing her soft skin/Touching her to know the burning of a thousand stars," really made my head spin. Absolutely stunning use of language. GORGEOUS POEM.
