TEACH ME

TEACH ME

A Poem by Echoes of Eros
"

Better than I know myself

"

Teach me to love you

to know you deeply

to sense your heartbeat

and your passions in life

take my fingers

place them on your lips

so I  can trace your words

sigh when I please you

so I learn to please you more

chats and richly colored conversations

patterns… passion… paintings

chocolate and coffee

one lump or two

a little cream perhaps

teach me to love you

to know you.. understand you

feelings..  what makes you feel secure

and what causes you fear

those dark places

even you’re afraid to enter

I want you to know

so that I don’t just love an image

that I love you for who you really are

every wrinkle, every blemish

moving across every curve

of your thoughts

mine to love

until I know you

better than I know myself

and I can love you

completely

Just...whoa. Your words fill me with a sense of amazement and awe. You and your words just honestly make me just stare at them because all I can wish is to be as good a writer as you. You affect more than just the mind with your poetry. You are going to go so far.

Hello :)
This is quite breathtaking....to be loved as completely as your words describe is a gift indeed. Devotion and desire, a heady mix.
I'm glad I stumbled across your work this morning, I look forward to reading more.

You too :)
To love someone is to care for them. You captured the indescribable thoughts and feelings that we all feel when we fall in love. It is hard for me to find poetry that i genuinely like and poetry that can get to feel something using words alone, but this is a winner for sure! Great Job! Love it!
