You don’t know
how much my heart aches
everytime we talk
these shallow talks
that are completely unlike
what we used to have.
Makes me hate myself
because I know
I’m the one to blame.
I never was a keeper.
Never was good
at showing love.
Never will be
at saving it.

I wish.
I wish I were different.
I wish I were someone
free and secure.
I wish I were braver.
I wish I could tell you
I miss you every day
that you’re in the thoughts
that send me to sleep
and that even in my dreams
you exist.

I wake up
nothing happens
because all I do
is wish
and wishes
are for those
who are too afraid
to get out there
and make things happen.
Wishes
are for cowards
like me.

When someone has always that fear to express himself, then the chance to be happy with someone he loves will only have a little chance. lol.
It's great that writers has their pens and papers (now are laptops/pc's) to be the ear to listen to them.

Yes I am. but not too new. maybe a few weeks old. I remember. I actually browsed through your profile already and noted that you already have 33(!!!) pages of your writings, and that's just incredible.
I won't call myself a writer although I aspire to be. I'm trying. lol

I feel you here Ecasynaman. I like the way you express your thoughts and emotions in this piece. Yes sometimes we all do conceal our true feeling towards someone we value or dear to us. Especially if that someone is a close or best friend . Where afraid that if we reveal our true feeling it will affect our so perfect friendship.

A simple haiku or senryu contemplating the decision to reveal someones true feeling to somebody. Is it perilous ? Or should we take the risk ?
