Virtual HuntA Poem by Eddie DavisA poem for the late July 2016 'Ten Words I Give' contest, about a popular App. Words used in the order given.Virtual Hunt (To Mary and Renee, who both play) An excavation years from now, Will give an indication how,
Society was lost it’ll show, Due to the app ‘Pokemon Go’,
They load it on a telephone, And gaffe and stumble like a drone,
Trying for a Monopoly, Of Mewtwos hiding in a tree,
How proud and loud they shout with glee, A singer of each victory,
And though they stumble off a curb, Each find they shine (though they perturb),
They dip in zoos, and prowl in parks, Climb cherry trees for Zoroarks,
Some find corpses while on their look, In New Hampshire’s Salmon brook,
Some play while driving in their cars, They play in school, they play in bars,
All the while their lives just flee, From virtual reality,
Reality is not the same, It’s much more fun inside the game © 2016 Eddie DavisAuthor's Note
