A poem written for my friend Blue in reply to her poem about her missing Muse.

Truant Muse

If your Muse from you did hide,
Look within, yes deep inside,
in your heart, just turn her loose,
passion frees the truant Muse.

It happens to every poet. Now, I simply wait patiently for her return; the more nervously I used to strive, the harder it became.

Nice verse, Eddie.
I think being busy makes someone's muse in a repose for a while. But a writer will always try to have it again.
It is fun to make response poems. Writing of others especially of our favorite writers can be an inspiration to write.
