Hard of hearing

Hard of hearing

A Poem by Eddie Davis
"

A rhyming Tanka about losing your hearing

"

Half deaf in one ear,

When I have so much to hear,

Sounds that are so dear,

Hearing half is what I fear,

Silence is not golden here

Thank you for reading it.
This is a nice poem, it is well written and flows well. I love the ending, silence is not always golden especially for the deaf. Wonderful poem, I loved it!

Thank you.
This came into my mind after reading this:
What if we intend not to hear all the sounds around us? What if we only open our ears for the sounds that we like? What if we miss the most important sound?

This is a thought-provoking piece, Eddie. Glad you made a Tanka once more. Keep the spirit in you!
