A Double, reversed Etheree

Sin,

Souls die,

Bound for Hell,

Alienated,

In Eternal Grief,

What will save us from this?,

We are never good enough,

Only the perfect sacrifice,

To pay the price for all of our sins,

This is the only way we’ll be set free,

There was a man, born of a virgin girl,

He lived a life free of all man’s sin,

He taught us to love each other,

He healed people who were sick,

He offered forgiveness,

Then he took our sins,

He paid the price,

Saved our souls,

Jesus,

Christ!

Author's Note

Jesus lives! An Etheree is a poem made up of progressing syllable lines: 1, then 2, up to 10. In other words, the first line is made up of a word with one syllable, then the next line can have 2 syllables (one or two words) and so on, up to 10 syllables. Thanks to Dhaye for showing me this wonderful form of poetry. Happy Easter to everyone. Christ has risen indeed!
