A rendezvous awaits,

A grim skeletal figure,

The last line is beautifully vague, Eddie. The way I interpret it, the speaker seems to refuse to be taken by death, that death has no control over him, and that he decides his own fate. I'm not sure. I'm quite a literal person.

It was meant to be slightly optimistic. I tried to work in a more humorous line about being fashionably late, but that was too long to work into it.
