A meeting that all of us will have to keep. 

A rendezvous awaits,
A grim skeletal figure,
I’ll keep death waiting

The last line is beautifully vague, Eddie. The way I interpret it, the speaker seems to refuse to be taken by death, that death has no control over him, and that he decides his own fate. I'm not sure. I'm quite a literal person.
